About the Sessions
(for people portraits, with or without their fur kids)
The Process:
We start with a quick call so I can tell you a little about the process. Then we'll schedule a consultation for you (and your fur babies) to get to know me. I can come to your home or other location of your choice. If you want a studio portrait, I have access to rent a studio in a venue in Northern Kentucky. You deserve beautiful portraits of your family, which is why I want to guide you through the steps to make that happen.
THE CONSULTATION
We'll have a consultation before the actual session to discuss your vision for the portrait, what kind of background that would be suitable to match the colors of your home, what clothing would be best to wear, and discuss whether there are any props you might want to use. I want you not only to enjoy the process but to have portraits you are proud to share in an album or hang on your wall, and these steps will help insure this.
YOUR SESSION
The day of the session, I guide you in posing, so you’ll leave the session looking and feeling your best selves. Sessions vary in length but usually are between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on how many are being photographed, whether there are pets, etc.
THE REVEAL & ORDERING APPOINTMENT
The fun part! I share your images with you. Together we select the images and products that suit your needs and your budget. Important: Anyone who is involved in the decision-making process and who is responsible for payment MUST be at this appointment. Allow at least an hour for this!
Fees for All Portrait Sessions (People, Pets)
Session fee - $399. This covers meeting with clients three times: a pre-session planning meeting, the portrait session, and a viewing and ordering appointment, plus traveling to any venues in advance to survey the location, plus three photographic gift prints up to 8x10 inches (a $378-$410 value).
Products offered - prints on photographic paper, metal, or canvas, albums, and several types of specialty products. All products are created at professional photo labs. Paper prints come with optional backing (a thin mat board) to keep the print from wrinkling (recommended for larger sizes). Frames are extra in most cases.
Wall art (16x20 inches or larger) starts at $649
Albums start at $999
Specialty items start at $149
Small gift prints start at $119 for a 5x7 inch print and $129 for an 8x10 inch print.
Kentucky sales tax of 6% is added to all fees and product purchases.
A savings of 20% on your total comes with the purchase of a Collection, which is any one piece of 16x20 inch or larger wall art or 8x8 inch or larger album and any two additional portrait products, including gift prints.
$130 of the session fee is nonrefundable. There is an additional fee for location session expenses, such as entrance to a specific venue.
I do not sell stand-alone high resolution digital files. On request, I will give you a free signature social media file for each image purchased as a printed product. Social media files have my logo in a lower corner and will print to 5x7 inches. You also may request a back-up file in the size of any print product you order.
Products Offered
I offer archival, legacy wall art, albums, and specialty tabletop display products. These are available for viewing HERE. Your total investment depends on how many images you love and how you wish to enjoy them; however, what you choose to order is completely up to you, because you're purchasing only what you absolutely love during your viewing and ordering appointment.
Booking Retainer/Cancellation Fees and Sales Tax Information
Session fee may be charged up front as a retainer to hold the session date & time, $130 of which is non-refundable. The balance of the session fee is due at the session. Kentucky sales tax of 6% is added to all products and services.
